I never really thought I was interested in packaging design until someone pointed out how much packaging design actually covers. Almost everything we buy and consume has some kind of package design on it, and goodness knows I’m a sucker for good design.
Which is why I love Christmas- particularly all the amazing Christmas cosmetics that come out. And sure- it’s a good excuse for brands to charge exorbitant amounts for tiny jars. But let’s not be cynical. It’s tiny jars in what is usually really fun packaging. The exception to this might be the current NARS x Steven Klein holiday range which is absolutely TERRIFYING, but anyway…
It may only be early November, but I’ve already started getting some of my Christmas shopping done and here are a few of my favourites.
- Peter Thomas Roth Mini Mask Magic Kit. One of the masks smells like pumpkin pie. Seriously.
- Tarte Delux Amazonian Butter Lipstick Set.
- L’Occitane Pamplemousse & Rhubarbe EDT. This was made with macaroon chef Pierre Herme and has notes of grapefruit, rhubarb and nutmeg. Delicious.
